Peat

Peat, a remarkable natural resource, is a dense, organic material formed over centuries in waterlogged, acidic environments. Its unique composition, primarily consisting of decomposed plant matter, provides several benefits and diverse uses.

In agriculture, peat serves as a valuable soil conditioner and growing medium. Its moisture-retaining properties make it ideal for enhancing soil structure and improving water retention in gardens, nurseries, and agricultural fields. Peat is commonly used in potting soils and horticultural applications.

Furthermore, peat has historical significance as a fuel source, particularly in regions with abundant peat deposits. It has been used for heating and cooking, although its use in this capacity has diminished in favor of more sustainable alternatives.

While peat offers undeniable benefits, its extraction is managed sustainably by our suppliers to protect wetland ecosystems and preserve its vital carbon-sequestering properties.

Garden Soil
Peat Products
Small Fraction - ideal for sowing seeds, growing various vegetables and flowers in pots, and also for the production of various substrates.

Medium Fraction - the most popular and universal fraction in the market. It is used to produce substrates. Mixture of small and medium fractions is widely used when growing various plants and vegetables in indoor and outdoor pots, in greenhouses, and also simply as improvement for the soil.

Large Fraction - it is highly porous, has excellent air permeability, water absorbing and drainage properties. These fractions are used as a basis for the production of high-quality substrates. They are also used for large pots, berry plants, coniferous trees, ornamental plants and large hanging pots. They are also popular for mulching roses, shrubs and other ornamental plants and planting trees.

Block Peat - it is a pressed mixture of various peat mosses and other elements. It is extracted with the help of a special technology for cutting the peat layer and later it is dried by the sun and wind on the field.
In order to get a better structure, they leave it outside in the winter, stack it up and let it freeze. It is used as one of the components in the manufacturing various substrates and soil additives. Before use, the block peat is crushed with a special mill and dispersed into appropriate fractions. From this type of peat it is possible to obtain products with an excellent structure, which is not observed in other types of peat.
